Vital signs section has a dropdown menu for every field therein, reducing the chance of entering invalid data. Furthermore, if patientís age is detected to be less than two years at the time of adding an encounter, two additional fields for head circumference and oxygen saturation are automatically included in the vital signs section.

And this is not all. Vital signs can even be configured to use Metric units (kilograms, centimeters, celsius) instead of English (pounds, inches, fahrenheit). Large medical facilities and healthcare organizations are already using metric system while independent medical professionals still prefer to use the english units. But make no mistake, we are going metric left and right - and fairly soon. And when that happens, it is just a matter of a click with UniCharts electronic medical records to toggle from english to metric units.
